“Hey Shibbz.” Izzy said walking into Shelby's room.
“Sup?” She asked looking up. She was spread on the bed as if she was going to make a bed angel.
“Push over.” He said rolling Shelby over to lay in bed. “You okay?”
“I'm fine. A little annoyed that Liz broke my bottle though.”
“Wow—she really did that?”
“Yup, knocked it out of my hand and everything.”
“Wow. That's crazy.”
“Right. I probably wouldn't have finished it anyways.” Shelby said as Izzy put his arm around her.
“Why you say that?”
“I know the alcohol ain't gonna help. I gotta deal with my shit without help.”
“Yeah, that's how I am with my shit too.”
“Talking about what's going on with you won't fix it. The problems are still there.” Shelby said looking up at Izzy.
“So what about us...where do we stand?” He said opulling Shelby close.
“We can't be together. You know that.”
“Why? Cause of Liz?”
“Yeah! She's one of my best friends and she's really into you.” Shelby said inching away.
“When why'd she just hook up with Mike?”
“What? When did that happen?”
“After you came up here with Lulu. Before...you know.”
“Wow. I love how she tells me.” Shelby said sarcastically.
“Whatever—You're getting off topic. Shibbz I want top be with you.” Izzy said pushing the hair out of Shelby's face.
“Izzy...I can't.”
“Why? It can't just be Liz.”
“I'm in love with Lulu and you know that.” She said looking away.
“Why? He doesn't care about you Shibbz.”
“Yes he does. We're rooming together, and he sat there to make sure I was okay in the hospital.”
“He's rooming with you cause Liz told him to. He was in your hospital room cause Sasha told him to. How naive are you Shibbz? He's not this great guy you think he is.” Izzy said sitting up.
“You're lying.” She said looking at Izzy, tears starting to appear in her eyes. Shelby knew that Izzy wasn't lying. She hoped he was, but she knew he wasn't.
“I wish I was,. He';s not the guy you think he is.”
Shelby didn't know what to say. Lulu might not be the guy she thought he was, but he wasn't as bad as everyone made him out to be. Without another thought, Shelby kissed Izzy.
They had a past. A past that no one knew about. Maybe it was time for people to find out; to see them in a different light. Izzy was a good guy. He's funny, sweet, caring and attractive. Maybe being together would be good for them.
“Shelby. I think we should--” Liz said walking in on Izzy on top of Shelby. She didn't know what to say. The words were knocked out of her.
“Liz, it's not what it looks like.” Shelby said pushing Izzy onto the floor.
“Really Shibb? Cause it looked a lot like you're making out with Izzy.”:
“Okay. Maybe it is what it looked like. But I can explain.”
“Save it! I don't want to hear it.” Liz said walking out of the room.
“No! Liz!” Shelby said climbing out of a bed and following Liz.
“Shel!” Izzy said going after her.
“No! You knew how I felt about Izzy and you still made out with him.” Liz said.
“You hooked up with Mike! That really shows how much you care about me.” Izzy replied once they got in the living room.
Everyone was sitting around, looking at the 3 of them.
“Because he made a move and you didn't.” Liz said as Lulu walked into the house.
“Because I don't like you like that Liz. You don't seem into me; you're more into Ace then you are me!” Izzy said as he looked over at Shelby.
“I can't believe you two.” Liz said looking from Shelby to Izzy.
“It's 4 am. What are you fighting about?” Sasha asked looking up from her cell phone.
“I go up to talk to Shelby and I find her and Izzy making out. Only a matter of time until they hooked up.” Liz said, her eyes meeting Lulu.
“Shellie and Izzy?” Keith asked a little surprised.
“Yeah...some friend.” Liz mumbled.
“I';m the best friend you've ever had!” Shelby shot.
“They why kiss Izzy?”
“If you cared so much about Izzy you wouldn't have fucked Mike!”
“If you loved Lulu so much you wouldn't have messed with Izzy!” Liz yelled back.
“The relationship between me and Lulu is none of your fucking business.” Shelby said as Daniel stepped in between the two girls.
“Okay. Okay. Okay. Maybe we should all go to bed and we can deal with this in the morning.”He said as everyone went to their rooms silently.
